Charles Canonne, Gaël Gougne, and Franck Chauvet make up our Ambassad'Orres Team, with Anne-Caroline Chausson, who will be our Official Ambassador.
What are Ambassad'Orres?
The Ambassad’Orres programme is a workforce of riders from different backgrounds and categories, who have been chosen for their riding quality and their knowledge of the resort, in order to promote it. You might have already bumped into them on our slopes, in which case, you would recognise them thanks to their Bike Park-coloured outfits.
Who are they?
ANNE-CAROLINE CHAUSSON / OUR OFFICIAL AMBASSADOR

Favourite slope? : “Cool rider”
Why did you choose Les Orres Bike Park? “I began downhill mountain biking at 33 years old, and this is where I started. It’s the best Bike Park near the South of France.
The diversity of the slopes and levels"
Best memories? “Times spent with my Ambassad’Orres mates... unforgettable!”
Do you have any advice for beginners? “If they can, they should try to go to a school; it will save them time when they're learning, will help prevent bad habits and they’ll also learn to protect themselves properly. Otherwise, go slowly and try not to cut corners: learning DH mountain biking takes time and it takes time to gain the experience you need to improve. But first and foremost, you need to RIDE, RIDE, RIDE! DH isn’t a particularly daredevil sport but only those riders who protect themselves and ride sensibly make good progress and stay the course! “

Super fast and a great instructor, Charles is our biking Speedy Gonzales!
See if you can catch him!
Favourite slope? : “Cool rider”, this slope is quick, natural and technical. I'll never get bored of it!”
Why did you choose Les Orres Bike Park? “The bike park is cool. The slopes are varied and adapted to all levels of riding, there is a good descent, from fun slopes to technical slopes. And the setting is beautiful...”
Best memories? : “I started when I was 14 with the HTT school is Les Orres. I have loads of good memories, but the best are photo shoots with the whole team”
A word of advice for beginners? “Don’t cut corners, it’s easy to get hurt, so be cautious. You also need good advice, so a mate who can tell to shift your weight back; you may have just done a course at HTT but you can still forget."
A tip for seasoned riders? “The tendency is to want to really go for it, right from the outset, jumping all the bumps blind but it’s important to take time to do at least one warm-up run and always check out the jumps. You never know what’s waiting round the corner and it’s stupid to get hurt like that! “

Part dirt rider, part free rider, he’s really impressive on his DH mountain bike.
So, who will jump higher than Franck?
Favourite slope? “I love the Ride N’Red and the Gawaline. There’s movement throughout and lots of different types of jumps but it’s still got great flow.“
Why did you choose Les Orres Bike Park? "I rode in Les Orres Bike Park for the first time around ten years ago. I was hooked right away. The trails are smooth, fluid and well-maintained with banked turns. The blue trails are great fun and really cool to ride! Everyone can enjoy it and it makes cycling accessible to everyone.“
Best memories? “One of my best riding moments was shooting a video this year with the Ambassad’Orres. We rode over lots of different types of terrain with some technical sections and fabulous scenery; I can't wait to see the final video.“
Do you have any advice for beginners? “An event that I recommend for everyone: Les Orres closing weekend. It’s a great communal event, all levels together, and a fantastic atmosphere! “
A tip for seasoned riders? “Don’t forget to warm up properly; for example just start by pedalling around a bit, do a couple of loops around the pump track and then begin with an easy trail to ease yourself back into it. Although you may know it well, always check out the trail during your first descent because things can change from one week to the next. And, most importantly, don’t forget to check the colour of the trails: you can’t be too careful! “
