The 5th round of the IXS European Downhill Cup is the ultimate challenge for aspiring downhill racers and professionals. The race has already revealed some of the world's best athletes.

The Bike Park remains open throughout the weekend (excluding the Black Patrol track, reserved for the race).

Descente sur la Black Patrol, double noire emblématique des Orres

Avec ses 2,6 km et 565 m de dénivelé négatif, la Black Patrol est la piste mythique des Orres pour les riders en quête de sensations fortes. Ultra engagée, classée double noire, elle enchaîne virages relevés, sauts, pierriers et sections bien techniques – un vrai terrain de jeu pour les pilotes élite. Spot emblématique des Orres Bike Park, elle a accueilli de nombreuses compétitions et revient cette année encore sous les projecteurs avec l’IXS Downhill Cup.

The track: Black Patrol
Double Black Elite

Riders take to the Double Noire "Black Patrol" trail. Reserved for experts, this track is 2.6 km long and has a negative vertical drop of 565 m. Difficult and demanding, solid skills are required to master it!

On the program: modules, jumps and even more sensations all along this double black.

Les Orres Bike Park, competition ground

Antoine Vidal, from the Commencal Les Orres Bike Park team, won the title of 2022 French champion with a time of 3:55.03. He was followed by Loïc Bruni(3:55.04) and Amaury Pierron(3:56.27). However, it is Antoine Pierron who currently holds the best time, with a 3:52.23, set during the final of the Coupe de France de VTT de descente 2024.

In the women's category, Mélanie Chappaz, winner of the EDC#4 Les Deux Alpes 2024, currently holds the best time with 4:36.69, which enabled her to win the Coupe de France 2024.

All these conditions combine to promise one of the most spectacular and hotly contested races of the season. And with the reputation of Les Orres Bike Park, it's likely that a few World Cup riders will also be making the trip.
