Grand Trail de Serre-Ponçon

The Grand Trail de Serre-Ponçon is more firmly rooted in its local area than ever before. Supported by the Town of Embrun and the Serre-Ponçon Community of Communes, the event brings together local stakeholders and community leaders to make it a highlight of the region’s calendar.

A new dynamic: after four editions, the organisers are handing over the reins to WeAreHautesAlpes, the team already renowned for the Outdoormix Festival and the Outdoormix Winter Festival. Drawing on their experience, sport, a friendly atmosphere and a festive spirit come together to enrich the adventure. A revamped communications strategy, a village buzzing with activity around the clock, and an enhanced spectator experience: everything has been designed to breathe new life into the event.

An ultra-challenging route around Lake Serre-Ponçon and iconic peaks.

- THE 60 KM

A demanding race that encapsulates the essence of the region.

Total distance: 70.5 kilometres

Elevation gain: 4,288 D+

A shorter but formidable route.

Total distance: 32.7 kilometres

Elevation gain: 2,067 D+

The event village

The event village returns with all its activities, stalls and concerts, for everyone to enjoy. The very heart of the Grand Trail de Serre-Ponçon, the event village is a place for meeting, sharing and socialising, brought to life by entertainment and interaction. Both behind the scenes and out on the course, the volunteers are its essential backbone.

Much more than just a competition, the Grand Trail has become a popular trail running festival, set against the backdrop of the Embrun lake. An iconic venue where sporting achievement and shared moments come together.
