Become a committed owner

The Les Orres resort is committed to preserving its environment.

Would you like to contribute to this effort? Here are a few tips to make your accommodation more economical and environmentally friendly.

Buying responsibly

Choosing eco-friendly materials and appliances for your renovation project helps create a home that is :

  • Healthier

  • More comfortable

  • More efficient and more economical in terms of energy consumption

A building material is considered sustainable and ecological if its life cycle, from manufacture to use, leavesa low carbon footprint on the environment.

Wood

A durable , thermally efficient material.

The ecological impact of its use is becoming increasingly controlled , making it an even more sustainable material.

It's a must-have for mountain decoration, so don't hesitate to use it.

The paint

Choose environmentally-friendly paints, or at least class A paints, to avoid any risk of allergy or pollution during use.

Paints are classified according to their emission levels, from class A+ to class C.

Linoleum

Linoleum is often (wrongly) associated with plastic or synthetic materials.

In fact, it's a material with components of natural or recycled origin: linen, jute and sawdust.

Many ranges offer products that are 100% recyclable, guaranteed to contain no solvents, lead, formaldehyde or plasticizers that are toxic to health, and have a perfect indoor air emissions class (A+).

In addition to its authentic wood look, ideal for a warm mountain décor, this easy-to-install covering absorbs impact without losing shape, is highly resistant and has good soundproofing properties.

Household appliances

If you need to replace your household appliances, remember to use the energy label to make your choice.

Choose low-consumption category A or A+ appliances.

Save water

Here are a few ways to optimize water consumption in your home:

  • Replace the bathtub with a shower

  • Install mixing valves on all taps

  • Fit taps with water-saving devices (mousseurs)

  • Install dual-flush toilets

  • Regularly check for and repair any leaks

  • Check flow rates: less than 8 l/min for taps, 9 for showers and 6 for WCs

Save energy

Here are a few steps you can take to reduce electricity consumption in your home:

  • Make sure your doors and windows are airtight, and replace your joinery and double-glazing with equipment that meets current standards.

  • Take the opportunity to insulate "cold" exterior walls to eliminate thermal bridges.

  • Replace your radiators and opt for "smart" connected radiators, so you can remotely adjust the thermostat and avoid over-consumption.

  • Choose electrical equipment and light bulbs with an A or A+ energy label.

  • Remember to unplug all electrical appliances when your home is unoccupied.

Thanks to its radiant heat diffusion technology, the inertia radiator is now the most energy-efficient electric heating appliance.

Say goodbye to your old energy-guzzling appliances.

Promoting waste sorting

Image

Waste management is one of the most important steps in making a property eco-responsible.

For your tenants, you'll need to provide at least 3 garbage cans with :

  • A traditional garbage can for non-recyclable waste.

  • A sorting garbage can for packaging

  • A glass bin (to be installed on the balcony for small areas)
