La fromagerie de Chateau-Queyras is a cooperative of dairy producers committed to respecting traditional know-how and mountain agriculture.
Our herds are made up of Montbéliard, Abondance and Tarine cows, and Alpine and Saanen goats. These animals are perfectly adapted to the specific characteristics of the mountains : steep terrain, mountain climate, altitude...
Thanks to a natural diet (no fermented feed), the aromas of alpine flora are enhanced tenfold in the cheeses.
