5 days at the heart of the Game of Trees festival

The excitement is palpable in the resort of Les Orres: the Game of Trees festival opens tomorrow and continues for 5 days.

A glance at the program reveals that this is a festival like no other. In addition to the concerts and shows scheduled throughout the week, I discover a multitude of activities linked to art and nature. Works of art are exhibited throughout the resort, you can try out nature activities such as tree-climbing or bivouacking, attend lectures or film screenings, take advantage of the local producers' and craftsmen's market, attend a vegan cooking or writing workshop....

All in an atmosphere resolutely focused on ecology, the very essence of the festival.

PABLO SERVIGNE KICKS THINGS OFF

It's barely 10:30 and already the first vibrations are rising in the cool morning air. Young people, adults and the not-so-young make their way towards the Espace Rencontre et Culture des Orres. Everyone is gathering for a special and eagerly-awaited event: in a few moments, Pablo Servigne, agricultural engineer and lecturer, will address a subject close to his heart: our ability to adapt to a rapidly changing and disrupted world.

As he enters the conference room, the chatter and whispers fade away as if by magic. Humble, simple and authentic, he quickly captures the audience's attention. He shares inspiring perspectives and constructive solutions to today's major challenges. No one leaves his talk unscathed. It provoked deep reflection in many of us, prompting us to rethink our relationship with nature and our fellow creatures.

CONCERTS :
FROM YANNICK NOAH TO DELUXE, A SENSORY AND ECLECTIC JOURNEY

In the first light of twilight, spectators gather in front of the stage. The atmosphere is electric for this first evening of the Game of Trees.

The lights go down, the first chords ring out: Lou Dassi takes the stage. The radiant singer transports the audience with her unique voice. Accompanied by talented musicians, her magnetic presence and the driving rhythms of her songs captivate the audience. The last song is greeted by a wave of warm applause.

A wave of joy sweeps through the crowd as the first notes of Yannick Noah 's irresistible melodies are heard. The singer enters the stage, a radiant smile on his lips. For over an hour and a half, he transports his audience with his contagious, sunny energy and his unmistakable voice . Close to the audience, happy to be on stage, Yannick Noah sets Les Orres alight!

A magical, intimate evening that will remain engraved in festival-goers' memories!

The following evenings, Kalika, Mentissa, Joe Bel and Supamoon , along with the musicians of the group Deluxe, will transport the audience with performances ranging from energetic to dreamlike, mixing electro, funk, rock and text songs.

WORKS OF ART
ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE

At the entrance to the Espace Rencontre et Culture, some surprising works of art catch the eye. Imposing red-tinted twisting branches rise up to the ceiling. Like a gateway to the festival. This creation is the work of Fabio de, an artist and textile designer based in Saint-Clément-sur-Durance, in the Hautes-Alpes region of France. His artistic sensibility is intimately linked to ecological issues.

We also discover the collective work of 4 artists from the Haut-Alpes region, entitled Nan'Eau particules. Sylvie Ladame, a visual artist and trainer based in Crots, Muriel Baïevitch-Coutens, a ceramist based in Crots, Marie-Sophie Koulisher, a visual artist and trainer based in Veynes, and Fabio de Sà tackle the problem of water pollution by plastics. Poetic and engaging, their installation symbolizes the drop of water soiled by plastic waste.

A little further on, the captivating " Robe de la Reine Mère Nature ", created with recycled materials by Fabio de Sà, unfurls its train stained with maritime waste. A striking evocation of the alarming state of today's oceans .

Outside, numerous works of art are scattered around the station: sculptures, frescoes, photo and painting exhibitions ..

Open your eyes and push open the door to your imagination!

ACTIVITIES CLOSE TO NATURE

Solène Chevreuil, an eco-adventurer with the Azur project, is wrapping up her journey to raise ecological awareness at the Game of Trees. A journey by bike from Marseille to Les Orres, during which she raises awareness of sport and environmental protection. Her arrival by bike is warmly welcomed by enthusiastic spectators.

LISTEN TO SOLÈNE RECOUNT HER ADVENTURE

Test your tree-climbing skills in the shade of the larches! Papa ours nature, an association specializing in this activity, has set up colorful hammocks in the trees. After a few explanations, equipped with a harness and firmly attached to a rope, we gradually climb up the trunk to reach the hammocks. If you're afraid of heights, you'll settle into the low-slung canopies. The more daring climb ever higher. We all enjoy the fullness of this forest environment, comfortably curled up on chairs and hanging fabrics.

That's the Game of Trees: experiences where time counts for nothing!
