At the end of the tour, the sponsors' plaque installed at the Pole Sport Innovation reception area was unveiled, and the inauguration ribbon was cut by all the elected representatives present.
Then it was off to the Espace Rencontre et Culture for the launch of the 20th edition of the OCOVA Forum. This was an opportunity for elected representatives to reiterate the importance of technological advances and innovation projects for the ecological transition and the emergence of tomorrow's mountain models.
Its objectives? To diversify the resort's offering, attracting and converting as many people as possible to mountain sports and activities.
The Pôle Sport Innovation represents an investment of 5.2 million euros.
52% of the funding comes from subsidies, split between the French State (€1.30 million), the Region (€1.04 million), the Département (€444 k) and the Banque des Territoires (€70 k).
The Pôle Sport Innovation is at the heart of a tourism and sports ecosystem, and integrates human skills and advanced technical equipment linked to the region's outdoor world. Faithful to the values that make up the DNA of the Les Orres resort: sport, friendship and sharing. It is part of a decade-long drive to transform the tourism model into a sustainable, socially inclusive and economically efficient mountain, particularly with a view to the 2030 Winter Olympics.
Since 2004, the forum has been the ideal meeting place for innovation players in advanced digital and communication technologies at the service of regional development. The 2024 forum aims to present technological advances and innovation projects for the ecological transition and the emergence of tomorrow's mountain models.
