The winter season is approaching, and with it comes a host of new products. This winter, there's plenty to keep you busy. Here's an overview of new shops, projects and facilities in the Les Orres resort.

#1 Le Pôle Sport Innovation: new mountain sports and leisure center

From virtual to real, from indoor to outdoor. This unique new mountain venue will open its doors this winter season. Spanning 1,100m² and 3 levels, it will offer 8 rooms and more than 50 pieces of equipment, providing a unique experience from virtual to real, from indoor to outdoor, for visitors ranging from beginners to top-level athletes. On offer: a room with 5 sports simulators (mountain biking, downhill skiing, canoeing, speed-flying, speed-riding), 1 room with an inclined ski mat, 1 fun and sports climbing room, 1 weight and cardio room and 1 fitness room.

#2 A new 162-space underground parking lot

To solve parking and traffic problems, a new underground parking lot has been built in the heart of the resort, beneath the Les Orres 1650 snow front. Part of a comprehensive resort-wide parking policy, the new underground parking lot will have a capacity of 162 spaces, including 9 charging points for electric vehicles. The main entrance will be at the traffic circle under the tourist office.

Significant benefits are expected in terms of improved safety (firefighter access, pedestrian walkways), snow removal, garbage collection, beautification of the resort center, visitor traffic to shops, easing congestion at the arrival of users, and links with the future Pôle Sport Innovation.

#3 Kids Park, the new indoor playground for children

This winter, a new, fun and colorful indoor playground just for kids will open its doors. It's all about adventure, on the floor above the Les Orres skating rink, with platforms, a ball pool, a slide, moving rollers, monkey bridges...

Alongside the Kids Park, a play area with arcade terminals will also be set up at the back of the rink.

#4 The new destination magazine

This winter, Les Orres will be presenting a new 48-page communication medium, published and offered by the resort. This "seduction"-oriented magazine will showcase all the tourist attractions of the destination: places, men, women, concepts, good addresses, practical information...

Available online in December 2023.

#5 Ski area

On the ski area side, preparations for the winter season are continuing, including :

  • Optimization of snow guns: some twenty obsolete snow guns have been replaced by more recent equipment, which better manages water resources and offers better snow quality.
  • Optimized grooming: the LIDAR system, which measures the height of the snowpack in real time, has been updated and optimized to provide an even more optimal map of the snowpack and thus better manage snow resources with more optimal production and distribution. A new snow groomer has been added to the resort's range of equipment.

#6 New shops and services

  • Saveurs de montagne: New owners: Maëva Lebrun takes over this business offering a wide range of regional products.
  • La Cozna: New owners also for this business offering mountain specialities. Taken over by Nicolas Janssen and Pascal Thil.
  • New "Chez Marius" restaurant in Les Orres 1800: A new restaurant is to open in place of Comme Avant. Details to follow.
  • Tattoo shop: June Ink Tattoo Shop opens in Les Orres 1650 shopping mall.
  • Bergerie Sport Skimium 1650 becomes Bergerie Sport Ekosport-Rent 1650 : the Skimium sports equipment and rental store is taken over by the Ekosport chain.
  • Skilowcost becomes Netski skilowcost : Skilowcost also undergoes a change of name, being taken over by Netski.
  • Snowshoe trekking guide: Julien Martini is the new snowshoeing guide for this winter.
