winter 2021-2022

The new detachable, 6-seater chairlift, designed by the company, Doppelmayr, is a state-of-the-art piece of equipment and replaces 3 ski-lifts, including the Prébois 2-seater chairlift which has been in existence for 48 years, making it the oldest in the resort. It extends over 1,300 metres and follows the original route, linking Pré-Bois ski front to the plateau des Galopins and Pousterle and Fontaines ski lifts, with a journey time of 4 minutes instead of 11. It is also accessible to snowscooters and persons of reduced mobility; in both summer and winter, it can transport up to 2,400 people an hour, accommodating the influx of skiers from Prébois and Préclaux chairlifts - which have also been removed.

In terms of slopes, the Prébois chairlift is now accessed via the new green slope of the same name. This wide, gentle slope provides a gentle re-introduction to skiing for beginners. New facilities with a modern client reception space (ski lift desks, parking), combined with the chairlift, are revitalizing this family area, simplifying departures from Prébois.

A new snow front at 1800! This area, designed for beginners and non-skiing activities, features a sledging area and two zones that are ideal for learning to ski. The 4-seater Préclaux chairlift and the Bois Méan draglift have now been replaced by two covered magic carpets measuring 55 and 200 metres. The Bois Méan carpet, which is free of charge, leads to the toboggan slope and the novice area. No need for a ski pass if you want to take your little ones to ski kindergarten or watch them make their début on skis! The larger Préclaux magic carpet, which is partially covered with solar panels, leads to the beginners’ practice area and Les Marmottes green slope from where you can ski straight to Les Orres 1650. A play area for toddlers completes the offer.

Les Orres Tourist Office, located in the resort centre, has treated itself to a makeover! By extending its reception area and providing digital tools for the use of customers, it seeks to connect this traditional, authentic resort to its natural environment and the many activities on offer. With its upgraded office space, wheelchair access, energy optimization and enhanced exterior, this new area will certainly be worthy of the quality welcome given to visitors and help further promote the resort.
