From December 2018, Les Orres resort will be getting a new chairlift: "Pic Vert".
This detachable 6-seater chairlift will leave from the 1650 snow front, replacing the current Pic Vert lift, to arrive at the site of the current Grand Clos chairlift arrival.
This is a new range of chairlifts, the first in France, from the manufacturer Doppelmayr (D Line range).
The Pic Vert ski lift, Bois Long chairlift and Grand Clos chairlift will be discontinued.
The Myrtille, Ecureuil and Edelweiss runs will be served by the Pic Vert chairlift.
The Edelweiss slope will be improved, particularly on the first section, to facilitate access for beginners.
The Silènes blue run will be equipped with a new artificial snow network.
Waiting times for lifts at the 1650 snow front will be reduced, and the flow of skiers from the 1650 snow front will be better distributed.
The new TSD will be open in both winter and summer, offering new Bike Park and pedestrian trails. It will be open to people with reduced mobility, as well as to snowscooters.
To guarantee holidaymakers' safety, the railings will feature automatic locking.
Construction is scheduled to start in spring 2018.
The project will cost €8 million, with the PACA region providing a €3 million subsidy.
