This year, Les Orres resort has installed 3 beehives in the heart of the mountain. Facing south and close to a watering hole, the Abeïa apiary is open to the public or to guided tours.

Self-Guided Tour: If you would like to explore the apiary on your own, information panels located at a safe distance reveal the fascinating secrets of the bees while ensuring your safety.
Guided Tour: You can also discover the world of bees alongside a passionate beekeeper.
Guided tours take place in July and August and must be booked in advance.

For your safety, please follow these guidelines when visiting the apiary:
Do not cross the electric fence.
Avoid sudden movements.
Preferably avoid wearing brightly coloured clothing.
Avoid wearing perfume, hairspray, or strongly scented products.
Pets are not allowed unless accompanied by someone who remains outside the apiary area, near the picnic tables.

After an introductory discussion about the fascinating world of bees—their habits, the secrets of the hive, and how the colony functions—you will have the opportunity to approach the beehives.
You will be provided with protective beekeeping gear, including a jacket, hat, and veil.
