One day, she receives a visit from a police officer, Julien Seul, who has come to scatter his mother’s ashes on the grave of the man she loved. Intrigued by Violette’s story—her husband had mysteriously disappeared shortly after they arrived at the cemetery—he decides to investigate, unwittingly bringing to the surface painful memories as well as truths that prove healing for Violette.
