The resort of Les Orres will host the 3rd round of the Coupe de France VTT DH (SKF - DHI # 3) on September 12 & 13, 2020. A line-up worthy of a World Cup awaits spectators at this final round, including our reigning French world champions Myriam NICOLE and Loïc BRUNI. The crème de la crème of the international field will also be on hand, with Swiss Camille BALANCHE and Slovenian Monika HRASTNIK among the women. On the men's side, the Australian Troy BROSNAN and the Briton Danny HART will also be present.
Starting at an altitude of 2136 metres, the Coupe de France runs through undergrowth over a distance of 2.3 km. Dirt and roots make for a technical course, and steering skills are invaluable. There will be numerous hairpins to negotiate, and a scree slope to make the course even more complete, with some big jumps to overcome! In all, over 300 riders will be taking part in this final run of the Coupe de France season, including more than 80 international riders (Israel, Belgium, Australia, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, Italy, England...). Loris Vergier, winner of the last round in Métabief, will be keen to repeat his performance, as will Camille Balanche, who also won in the Jura resort.
Visitors will be able to meet the downhill cycling elite throughout the weekend. Spots have been set out to indicate the best places to support their champions all along the track. The paddock on the snow front will also be a place to meet the teams.
For the Coupe de France, the Bike Park will be open to all from Thursday September 10 to Sunday September 13.
Some mountain bike trails will be closed and reserved for the French Cup from Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th September 2020:
