This weekend, the resort of Les Orres vibrated to the rhythm of the Coupe de France SKF VTT DHI, an event that brought together the best riders in France, on an exceptional track that many described as "worthy of a World Cup". At the end of 2 days of riding, the numerous spectators were able to acclaim Antoine Pierron, who took 1st place on the men's podium, while Mélanie Chappaz won the women's race. A look back at 2 days of high-flying action!
More than 300 riders in various categories, from juniors to masters to elites, competed for the fastest time.
At the end of the competition, Antoine Pierron of the Commencal IC Studio team was the overall winner of the Coupe de France 2024 in Les Orres, with a time of 3.52'23min. In 2nd and 3rd place were Nathan Pontvianne (3,55'59) from Club GOODMAN SANTA CRUZ and Antoine Vidal (3,55'70) from the Commencal Les Orres Bike Park team.

"Incredible", "Magnificent", "Spectacular"... These are just some of the words that have been used to describe the "Black Patrol" double-black track, which the Bike Park teams have painstakingly fine-tuned over the last few weeks.
Technical and demanding, it extends over 2.6 km with a vertical drop of -565m. It has been specially designed for the elite of DH mountain biking. Fast descents, impressive jumps and tight turns kept mountain bike enthusiasts on their toes all weekend long.
A remarkable piece of work, unanimously praised by the riders, many of whom commented on the networks :
An opinion also shared by Florian Letondeur, journalist, sports presenter and founder of the "Fast as French" media, who was present throughout the weekend to bring the event to life live for his community.
A large number of people turned out to cheer on the drivers at the resort this weekend. Under bright sunshine and blue skies, visitors were able to watch the drivers take to the track on the Black Patrol, and cheer them on at several key points along the way.
A benchmark spot in France, the Bike Park des Orres continues to make its mark on the French Bike Park scene! The world-class site has already hosted a number of high-profile sporting events, including the Enduro World Series in 2019 and the French Championships in 2022. No wonder the Commençal Enduro-DH team decided to set up shop here!
Rendezvous on the weekend of September 21 and 22, 2024 for the closing of the Bike Park, which will also mark the last weekend of the resort's summer opening. To mark the occasion, the teams at Les Orres have put together a special weekend packed with entertainment.
On the program: exhibitors' village, turbo dancing, big air bag, draisienne challenge, VIP riders, Rockshox Tuning Tour SRAM...
