Last week saw the 2nd edition of the Game of Trees Festival in Les Orres. Following on from last year's success, this new edition once again lived up to its promise, offering 5 days rich in exchanges and encounters, resolutely focused on the mountains of tomorrow, where nature meets culture!
They're all here this year:
For Nicolas Bienvenu - its founder - the Game of Trees festival is a veritable storytelling factory dedicated to sustainable tourism, the impact of culture and the four seasons in the mountains.
The festival is the fruit of a year-long effort to unite local players and offer a rich and varied program, a new way of raising environmental awareness among the general public.
The NGO All4Trees, the eco-adventurers, the awareness-raising workshops, Projet Azur, the artists' collectives... so many committed players and actions put in place to enable visitors to have fun, dance, innovate and participate, against a backdrop of ecological awareness, in the mountains of tomorrow.
Les Orres has long been committed to the ecological transition. In particular, it has implemented numerous concrete actions with measurable results to reconcile the development of mountain sports and leisure activities with respect for the environment. In just a few years, the commune resort has been able to considerably reduce its energy consumption, CO2 emissions and environmental impact by focusing on areas such as mobility, buildings, green spaces, street lighting, waste sorting and the materials and products used.
It's an obvious choice to renew the Game of Trees Festival and make it a perennial event in the heart of its 3000ha larch forest!
