Last week saw the 2nd edition of the Game of Trees Festival in Les Orres. Following on from last year's success, this new edition once again lived up to its promise, offering 5 days rich in exchanges and encounters, resolutely focused on the mountains of tomorrow, where nature meets culture!

A colorful program, featuring Yannick Noah, Deluxe, Pablo Servigne, Solène Chevreuil...

They're all here this year:

  • Yannick Noah, former tennis player and French singer, topped the list of France's favorite personalities. The singer opened the festivities on the 1st day of the festival. A warm-hearted concert that drew a full house!
  • Deluxe : The success story of the French electropop group continues at Les Orres! The 6 high-energy artists brought the week to a close with a frenzied concert on Friday.
  • Mentissa : The French-speaking Belgian singer-songwriter, revealed by season 10 of The Voice, performed at Les Orres in an intimate setting close to her fans.
  • Pablo Servigne: Opening the Festival, the author and lecturer addressed the issues of ecological transition, agroecology, collapsology and collective resilience to the many spectators who turned out for the launch of Game of Trees.
  • Noëlle Perna (Mado la Niçoise): The comedian with the lilting accent was back in Les Orres, her "station de coeur", for her show "Mado fait son cabaret".
  • Solène Chevreuil : Present at the first edition of the festival, the eco-adventurer was back after her new crossing of the Alps by bike! An opportunity for her to offer workshops to raise awareness of nature and the water cycle.

A festival combining nature, culture, art & sport

For Nicolas Bienvenu - its founder - the Game of Trees festival is a veritable storytelling factory dedicated to sustainable tourism, the impact of culture and the four seasons in the mountains.

The festival is the fruit of a year-long effort to unite local players and offer a rich and varied program, a new way of raising environmental awareness among the general public.

The NGO All4Trees, the eco-adventurers, the awareness-raising workshops, Projet Azur, the artists' collectives... so many committed players and actions put in place to enable visitors to have fun, dance, innovate and participate, against a backdrop of ecological awareness, in the mountains of tomorrow.

Les Orres, a committed resort

Les Orres has long been committed to the ecological transition. In particular, it has implemented numerous concrete actions with measurable results to reconcile the development of mountain sports and leisure activities with respect for the environment. In just a few years, the commune resort has been able to considerably reduce its energy consumption, CO2 emissions and environmental impact by focusing on areas such as mobility, buildings, green spaces, street lighting, waste sorting and the materials and products used.

It's an obvious choice to renew the Game of Trees Festival and make it a perennial event in the heart of its 3000ha larch forest!
