A FESTIVAL COMBINING NATURE, CULTURE, ART AND SPORT

With its rich and varied program, the Game of Trees festival offers a new way of raising environmental awareness among the general public. Immersive nature workshops, exhibitions committed to the defense and protection of the environment, awareness-raising on ecosystems and the water cycle, film and documentary screenings, exchanges with eco-adventurers, concerts... Visitors were able to have fun, dance, innovate and participate, against a backdrop of ecological awareness.

"Our aim is to inspire and enliven the public in the exceptional setting of the mountains, while calling for a collective awakening so that everyone becomes aware of their true place in Nature"

Nicolas Bienvenu, Festival organizer

LES ORRES, A COMMITTED DESTINATION, A PILOT FOR THE MOUNTAINS OF TOMORROW

With its panoramic landscapes, fauna, flora and invigorating air, the mountains are generous, offering us a marvellous playground for sports, experimentation and emotion. Today, Les Orres is a reference and pilot resort for the mountains of tomorrow.

"Les Orres has long been committed to the ecological transition. As a pilot resort for the mountains of tomorrow, we are taking numerous steps to reduce our environmental impact. That's why we were attracted by Nicolas Bienvenu's project. The Game of Trees Festival offers an innovative model combining culture, art and environmental awareness

Pierre VOLLAIRE, Mayor of Les Orres

Les Orres has implemented a number of concrete actions with measurable results to reconcile the development of mountain sports and leisure activities with respect for the environment: In just a few years, the commune of Les Orres has been able to considerably reduce its energy consumption, CO2 emissions and environmental impact by focusing on areas such as mobility, buildings, green spaces, street lighting, waste sorting and the materials and products used. So it's only natural that the first edition of the Game of Trees Festival should plant its eco-responsible actions in the heart of the 3000ha larch forest!

A FIRST EDITION ACCLAIMED BY THE PUBLIC

For 5 days, the Game of Trees Festival awakened the environmental conscience of people of all ages.

"The mountains predispose families on mountain vacations in Les Orres to a certain kind of environmental awareness, all the more so when the messages are conveyed through entertainment, art, culture and experimentation, as creatively proposed by the Game Of Trees Festival"

Emmanuelle Tahmazian, Director of Les Orres Tourist Office.

More than 5,000 visitors gave a warm welcome to all the artists, and there were lively discussions with the speakers, from nature workshop leaders to eco-adventurers committed to preserving the environment
