RENOVATION OF THE TOURIST OFFICE

A symbolic building for the resort, the tourist office underwent a facelift this year. Strategically located at the entrance to the resort, it is a place where people pass through all the time. The reception area, which receives over 80,000 visitors a year, has been enlarged. Classified as a Category 1 office, it is divided into several areas:

  • Reception/information area
  • Interactive touch terminals
  • Les Orres brand store
  • Coworking area with panoramic view of the valley and Ecrins mountains
  • Post office counter

These spaces provide greater visibility for the activities and experiences on offer in Les Orres. A team of 10 people work here year-round in different areas: public reception, promotion, communication, marketing, events, central reservations and accommodation, owners' area, as well as the Police Municipale and the Post Office.

A BUILDING IN TUNE WITH THE TIMES

The tourist office has been designed to be as energy-efficient as possible (insulation, heating), thus contributing to the ecological transition to which the commune-station is committed.

Built from Alpine wood, its appearance is in keeping with the resort's architecture, which has been awarded the "Architecture Contemporaine Remarquable" label as part of the remarkable heritage of the 20th century.

Accessible to people with reduced mobility, the office can now welcome residents and tourists in the best possible conditions, and guarantee a high-quality public service

The Maison is home to a Restaurant-Bar-Grocery where you can enjoy dishes prepared with creativity and fresh, local produce.

It's also a media library with a wide range of books, board games, a children's area and ongoing cultural activities (exhibitions, workshops). Its digital multi-purpose rooms are ideal for events. Intergenerational, the Maison Fichet is a symbol of Good Living in Les Orres.
