From August 1 to 5, 2022, an eclectic, innovative festival combining music, art, sport and environmental preservation activities will take root at the resort of Les Orres in the Hautes-Alpes...

"Les Orres has long been committed to the ecological transition. As a pilot resort for the mountains of tomorrow, we are taking a number of initiatives to reduce our energy consumption and environmental impact. That's why we were attracted by Nicolas Bienvenu's project. It was a no-brainer for us to welcome the Game of Trees Festival to Les Orres and offer holidaymakers an innovative model combining culture, art and environmental awareness

DANCING AND LAUGHTER AT THE SUMMIT

Music and theater are on the program for the week, with dancing and laughter by committed artists in a variety of styles.... If they're used to summits, we're not used to seeing them in this environment! Opening on Monday, August 1, Bénabar returns with "On lâche pas l'affaire", a series of high-end compositions he embodies with panache!

On August 2, Kimberose, the new French soul diva, will soften hearts, lulled by pop-soul tones and very personal atmospheres, with Belgian revelation Lubiana in 1st half.

SACD 2021 comedy talent Laureline Kuntz, French Slam champion, will also be in Les Orres on Wednesday August 3 with her RÉVOLUTION ROMANTIQUE. An autofiction punctuated by intimate and humorous anecdotes that retrace a totally atypical career path. A militant one-man show full of well-placed laughter!

On Thursday, the duo Cats on Trees will be titillating English pop stars with a voyage into their intoxicating musical universe, with organic, synthetic and atypical compositions. A real hit. DeLaurentis and Owlle will rival each other in 1st part.

And to round off the Festival in style, Jahneration will have everyone dancing to their legendary flow, against a backdrop of reggae from the depths of Kingston and Hiphop sprinkled with Californian rock

Every evening, the famous Alpine DJs from Radio Meuh and local DJs will be on hand to keep the party going late into the night.

IMAGINING THE MOUNTAIN OF TOMORROW

The public is invited to set off on a voyage of discovery of the mountain, of what inhabits it, nourishes it and animates it. What emotions does it transmit? What does it bring to life? What resources does it abound in? Is it affected by climate change? How can we protect it? What role can man play in its preservation?



Breathe, observe, smell, take a new look at the environment that surrounds us... to reveal your true nature thanks to the "Enchanted Forest":

  • Playful, participatory and immersive outdoor workshops offered free of charge every day in the resort's central squares and in the forest (sensory experiences, storytelling and/or biodiversity discovery walks, cairn building, Forest Fresco quiz, writing workshops, idea box, recycling center...)
  • Meetings and eco-responsible challenges with eco-adventurers (Anaëlle Marot, Clément Chapel and Solène Chevreuil),
  • A screening of a committed documentary,
  • Artistic and photographic exhibitions.

HIGHLIGHTS

Monday 01/08: Festival opening. Salle ERC, 10:30 am to 11:15 am

Tuesday 02/08: Arrival of Solène Chevreuil, eco-adventurer on bike "Sur la Route des Alpes". Game of Trees Village, 5pm

Friday 05/08: Planting of a symbolic tree by M. Pierre Vollaire, Mayor of Les Orres. Front de neige 1650, 12 noon

It's an opportunity to provide the keys to action for preserving the environment, and the mountains in particular. A path already embarked upon for several years at Les Orres.

FOCUS: THE ENCHANTED FOREST: A FACTORY OF STORIES AND ACTIONS

As the nerve center of the Festival, the "Enchanted Forest" space will invite the public to question their relationship with the environment, and to imagine solutions for our environment in a variety of entertaining formats. Reporters", led by Anne-Sophie Novel, a journalist specializing in ecology, will also meet with the public, speakers and artists to gain a better understanding of everyone's experiences.

AN ECO-RESPONSIBLE FESTIVAL AT THE HEART OF A COMMITTED MOUNTAIN RESORT

Situated in a belvedere overlooking Lake Serre-Ponçon, at the gateway to the Ecrins National Park, the Haute-Alpes resort of Les Orres is pursuing forward-looking projects and imagining a new way of experiencing the mountains. A pilot resort for the Alpine model, Les Orres combines tourist appeal with respect for the environment, thanks to committed initiatives to ensure its future while preserving its territory.
