It's been months in the making. This Saturday, December 11, 2021, the Les Orres ski area will finally feel the tracks of sharpened skis, the noise of overexcited skiers and the crunch of sinking feet. Like a promise to be kept, this event promises to be exceptional, thanks to the latest snowfall, which has added the finishing touch to its velvety white coat. On site, the ski area teams, the Tourist Office, the commune and the socio-professionals are making the final preparations to welcome the first visitors of the season in the best possible conditions.

And to celebrate the opening of the ski area, Les Orres resort and its restaurant partners are offering a tartiflette or mountain speciality with every ski pass purchased at the ticket office or online, to all skiers eager to hit the slopes*! On Saturday December 11 and Sunday December 12, the 1650 snowfront will also be alive with entertainment, including selfie booths, quizzes, large wooden games and goodies to be won.

The Opening gourmand "Tartiskiflette" will be the premise of an eventful season. The Christmas vacations will be a time for family reunions, with enchanting shows and entertainment, before turning to a new year. And to help you get off to the best possible start, the Ski, Detox et Bien-Être en montagne festival will be the perfect ally. Three days from January 18 to 20, under the banner of well-being and relaxation, to recharge your batteries. In February, a new event takes root in the resort: the Game Of Trees Festival. From February 14 to 18, 2022, this eclectic, innovative festival will combine music, art, sport, conferences and events on environmental preservation. Game of Trees Festival is a life-size experience to explore our imaginations, have fun, dance, innovate and participate, against a backdrop of ecological awareness. An invitation to a sensory journey through the arts, to awaken (and protect) the mountain in all of us. On the cultural side, music and theater will punctuate the week, with dancing and laughter around committed artists in a variety of styles:

  • Kimberose concert on February 14
  • Stand-up evening with Laureline Kuntz on February 16
  • Da Break concert and after-party with Radio Meuh on February 17
  • Deluxe concert on February 18

Every day, documentary screenings and meetings with filmmakers and eco-adventurers will be organized to inspire and gain perspective on various environmental issues. And to help people take action on a day-to-day basis, there will be events open to all, enabling visitors to try out new experiences and (re)awaken their senses. They can drop off their clothes and sports equipment at a recycling centre, discover a climate fresco to understand the challenges of deforestation and learn how to take action and preserve forests, taste spirulina and other natural products or, even more original, pedal to create your own smoothie! Finally, in March, Carnival Week, Le Conquistad'Orres and the Mini Kids Festival will continue to punctuate the spring ski season.
