A benchmark spot in the Hautes Alpes, the Bike Park des Orres takes things up a notch! The world-class site has been chosen to host the French Mountain Bike Championships, which will close the 2022 season. It is also a candidate to host a stage of the World Cup in 2023/2024. No wonder the Commencal team decided to set up shop here! Sporting and technical trails in the grandiose landscapes so characteristic of the Parc national des Écrins.
From September 8 to 11, 2022, the Hautes-Alpes resort will host the French Downhill Mountain Bike Championships. After staging two French Cup rounds in 2020 and 2021, this year Les Orres can boast of taking things up a notch by hosting the best French riders in individual DH and Masters events.
A long-standing partner brand of Les Orres, Commencal is now taking a special place at the heart of the resort with its Enduro-DH Team. For the
next three years, the athletes will train on its downhill slopes. A plus for the resort, which will be able to further refine the design of its Bike Park thanks to the expert eye of professional riders.
The resort is bidding to host a stage of the DH World Cup in 2023. With this in mind, the "Black Patrol" black run is going up a gear
to double-black level! Initially set up for the 2019 World Series, the enduro run has been converted and adapted to the DH discipline. On the program: modules, jumps and even more thrills over 2.6 km and 565 m of vertical drop. An opportunity to ride in the footsteps of the greats, and to thrill (with pleasure) even the most seasoned riders. Mastery is a must.
Les Orres Bike Park offers a 100% Ride experience on July 23 and 24, 2022. A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of enduro.
Highlights include the "Enduro Vallée", or the descent to the Embrun lake supervised by instructors and accompanied by Laura Peythieu, Ian Guionnet and all the Ambassad'Orres team. In the evening, it's back up to the Ride Night, during which mountain biking films are screened on the 1650 snow front. And to immortalize these moments, a competition is organized to win a photo shoot on the trail of your choice. For those who want to be more independent, there are nature walks with remarkable panoramic views, departing from the top of the lifts to reach Lac de Serre-Ponçon. Several routes are available, depending on the level of difficulty required.
From June 30, 2022, the day pass is €22.50 for children over 12, €114 for 6 consecutive days and €198 for the summer season pass.
Web exclusive: from -15% discount for purchases made directly online at forfait.lesorres.com. With Passp'Orres, 10% discount on 2 to 6-day mountain bike passes. Passes can be purchased at the Les Orres 1650 central ticket office or online at forfait.lesorres.com.
You don't have to be an experienced rider to have fun at Les Orres. Thanks to last year's improvements to the ski area, the area dedicated to beginner skiers in winter has been transformed into a mountain bike learning zone. Les Orres 1800 green run opens in June
while the Préclaux conveyor belt, the longest (200 m), serves the new beginners' area. Ideal for a gentle introduction to the sport!
