
Building on its success, the mountain detox and well-being festival returns to Les Orres for a 4th edition, from July 12 to 14, 2022. Over the course of three days, some twenty workshops will be held, offering free introductions to meditative, culinary and sporting techniques with professionals. Yoga, relaxation, themed hikes, cooking workshops: all the ingredients are there to help you gain in serenity and vitality. An enchanted interlude accessible to all, under the southern sun of the Hautes-Alpes, in a postcard setting.
Letting go, reducing stress, calming the mind... so many objectives that are often difficult to put into practice. The à la carte workshops offered at the Detox & Wellness Festival are a source of awakening for body and mind. The verdant mountain setting is conducive to soothing. Participants enter into a state of deep relaxation as they discover traditional postures or dynamic yoga exercises to gain flexibility and strength. The practice of mindfulness meditation or deep stretching unties tension points and restores serenity. All this at an altitude of over 1000 m, with only the surrounding peaks and Lac de Serre-Ponçon below to witness. A clear invitation to inner calm, Namasté.
In the family of meditative activities with prodigious virtues, we ask for hiking! Sophro-rando, hypno-rando, rando-réflexo, marche afghane: gentle walks with multiple benefits that you can indulge in gently in the shade of larch trees, to the sound of babbling brook water. Supervised by local instructors, these activities invite you to reconnect with your inner self. Self-healing of body and mind also involves re-establishing a link with nature, trees and the forest. It's even possible to come face-to-face, at the bend in a path, with one of the local fauna, still very much present and preserved. Here, too, the benefits of the mountains can no longer be overstated.
Well-being also involves nutrition and "better eating". The 2022 program includes a number of workshops offering advice, methods and useful tips to help you get back into your cooking routine. Taking care of oneself also means pampering one's stomach, while taking pleasure in preparing and enjoying food. It's a great opportunity to take stock of the contents of your cupboards and adapt new, healthier habits, without upsetting too much. Larch, juniper, hyssop, thyme... the spotlight is also on essential oils and local essences, whose power is undisputed. This means knowing how to use them properly. Plant-based cooking, intermittent fasting, lacto-fermentation... fascinating topics that will delight gourmets!
