It's confirmed: mountain biking has captured the hearts of the French. The figures bear this out, as the 21st edition of the Observatoire du Cycle shows that mountain biking has grown steadily over the past 7 years. The market jumped 25%, with no fewer than 2.7 million bikes sold. Electrically-assisted mountain biking and the development of mountain facilities have a lot to do with it! A case in point is Les Orres, a ski resort in the Hautes-Alpes region of France, where beginners can learn to ride a mountain bike on the slopes. As with skiing in winter, this is an opportunity to take a deep breath of fresh air and get back into shape at the foot of the Ecrins National Park and on the shores of Lake Serre-Ponçon.

Interview with Cécile Ravanel, three-time elite enduro world champion and Commençal-les Orres team coach!

"What I appreciate most about riding in Les Orres is the mix of terrain on the slopes. I love the Magic Woods for its natural trail feel, because I don't feel like I'm in a Bike Park, but in the middle of the forest, riding a well-maintained secret trail. On the other hand, I'm having just as much fun on the Ride'n Red, with its series of banked turns and up-and-down jumps.

I've had the good fortune to supervise MTB GIRLS CAMPs, and the fact that the days are dedicated to girls riding together adds a special "relaxed" but challenging atmosphere, all in a good mood and sharing of experiences. What's more, the terrain at Les Orres allows riders of all levels to have fun."
