LES ORRES, ON TRACK FOR THE AVENIR MONTAGNES PLAN

The choice of Les Orres to announce the roll-out of Avenir Montagnes, a large-scale investment support plan for the future of the mountains, bears witness to the modernization and diversification drive launched a decade ago by the resort and the commune of Les Orres, as part of the ecological transition and the evolution of tourism models for a sustainable, socially inclusive and economically successful mountain.

With a view to the changes in the mountain environment by 2050, as described by scientific studies, Les Orres has drawn up an investment program for the next 5 years, designed to consolidate existing facilities and develop new models based on tourism performance, diversification of activities and reduction of the ecological footprint: the mountain for all, all year round. Using all the resources of indoor and outdoor digital technologies, the Resort of Tomorrow project will enable visitors to discover the full range of mountain sports and leisure activities, to encourage the practice of outdoor activities and to promote the highly diversified offer for all publics in the resort and valley. The Pôle Sport Innovation, associated with the experiential domain, will create a strong collaborative dynamic around professionals, federations and equipment manufacturers to build the mountain of tomorrow.

Adapting to environmental challenges is also a major focus of Les Orres' projects. Les Orres is the winner of theAMI Rénovation de l'habitat touristique du plan Avenir Montagne ingénierie . Les Orres has also been actively involved for almost ten years in European collaborative programs, as a deployment and leadership territory, for the development and dissemination of solutions to reduce the ecological footprint of tourist areas in the Alpine Arc.

With the support of our institutional partners, the ambitious and structuring Station of Tomorrow plan is fully in line with the Avenir Montagne Plan. It aims to generate a strong economic and social impact on the scale of the Serre-Ponçon basin, the département, the region and the Alpine massif, placing our regional territory at the forefront of tomorrow's exemplary resort, a model for the future of the mountains.
