The 100% women's mountain bike event returns for a third edition on June 22 and 23. Registration opened a week ago and is going well. There are only around 20 places left out of the 100 available this year!

Girly Ride: what is it?

For several years now, the resort of est Orres has been committed to developing and encouraging women's mountain biking. It has therefore launched the Girly Ride, with the aim of bringing together female riders of all backgrounds and levels, to learn and improve their downhill mountain biking skills. It's also an opportunity to get together and have a good time to celebrate the resort's second opening weekend for the 2024 summer season!

THE GIRLY RIDE : IN DETAILS

75 places sold out in less than a week

While the world of mountain biking attracts a huge number of enthusiasts, women's mountain biking is still relatively underdeveloped. In France and abroad, there are very few female participants in mountain biking events, and even fewer events attended exclusively by women.

The first Girly Ride was a resounding success, both in terms of the number of participants and the 9.5/10 satisfaction rating.

While places were limited to 50 participants for the first edition, they were increased to 75 in 2023. On the strength of this new success, in 2024 the Girly Ride will welcome over 100 participants, and 75 places have already sold out in less than a week!

ON THE WEEKEND PROGRAM

  • SATURDAY JUNE 22ND

8H45: CAFÉ WELCOME 📍Frontde neige 1650

- Briefing with the organization staff on the 1650 snow front
- Presentation of the Welcome Pack with lots of surprises: Girly Ride Kenny jersey, ski passes...

9:30 A.M.: DEPARTURE OF PRE-FIXED CHAIRLIFT

10H : TRAINING & COACHING :Rides supervised by qualified instructors, according to level (to be chosen upon registration)

1:00 p.m.: ALTITUDE RESTAURANT MEAL: a meal with a panoramic view! Time for discussion between participants and supervisors.

14H - 16H30 :

- SOCIAL RIDE accompanied by the Ride'N Crew (Bike Park ambassadors)
- ON ROULE COOL for beginners, supervised by the instructors

4:30PM: MEET AT THE PIC VERT CABLE CAR DEPARTURE POINT

5pm: DERDESDERS: All together, from the top of the Pic Vert chairlift, after the Bike Park closes, down the"Follow me".
And for those who want to finish the day in style, Perrine from Ride'N Crew offers a stretching session at the end of the last descent.

6.30PM: GIRLY PARTY & CONCERT

Riders welcome
Drop off bags with personal belongings for the afternoon pool

9:15am: WARM-UP to music with Perrine from Ride'N Crew

10H : TRAINING & COACHING EVOLUTION : Rides supervised by instructors.

12H30: BBQ 📍Piscinemunicipale des Orres (Girly Awards!)

AFTERNOON

2 options:
- CHILL at the pool
- For those who still want some, FREE SESSION on the Bike Park with instructors and the Ride'N Crew

2pm and 4pm: MOUNTAIN BIKE SHUTTLE from the pool to Les Orres 1650 resort center

Whether you're a beginner or an expert, whatever your level, the Bike Park des Orres offers a wide range of trails for beginners and advanced riders alike. With a wide variety of terrain, the Bike Park des Orres is sure to satisfy every rider.

  • 13 downhill trails
  • 3 enduro itineraries
  • Various jump modules
  • Trails in the heart of larch forests or among the rocks
  • A "Gawaline" freestyle run

The Bike Park will be open non-stop from June 29, so you can continue to make progress and hurtle down the slopes.
