Les Orres was the first resort in the département to open its doors on the weekend of June 20-21, with a record number of visitors to its bike park.

The pre-opening of the Les Orres bike park was eagerly awaited by mountain bikers, as over 600 riders turned out on Saturday June 20 to hurtle down the bike park's trails in glorious sunshine. A record for Les Orres.

So the atmosphere was just right on Saturday June 20. Visitors were also able to enjoy the newly refurbished snow front, complete with pump track, entertainment area and petanque pitch, all enhanced by the re-seeding of the square. With the sound of a DJ on the snow front and under the southern sun, the public was able to enjoy the terraces and shops opened for the occasion.

We welcomed 3 times as many mountain bikers as last year, so we're very satisfied with this pre-opening weekend. The local and regional clientele is loyal to our resort, but we also noted a strong influx of clubs and Italian customers. We've had good feedback on our investments, which augurs well for the rest of the season

On the slopes, mountain bikers were able to meet the talented Anne-Caroline Chausson, the resort's official ambassador, who came especially to test the trails at the start of the season, accompanied by Ambassad'Orres Gaël Gougne, Franck Chauvet and Charles Canonne. The latter, who is also an instructor at the Horizons Tout Terrain mountain biking school, inaugurated the "Kids Academy" this weekend.

Halfway between a club and a mountain biking course, the Kids Academy gives children aged 8 to 16 the opportunity to follow the progress and receive expert advice from an instructor, every Saturday throughout the summer season. Oriented purely towards downhill mountain biking, this academy of young champions is divided into 3 categories for gentle progress.
