After 3 unanimously acclaimed editions, the 4th Grand Trail de Serre-Ponçon took place this weekend, and with it one of the flagship events revolving around the event: Rendez-vous en trail inconnu. The concept? A new trail in the heart of nature, to be discovered as the race progresses. And this year, the unknown trail took place... in Les Orres!

Embark on a journey to an unknown land, heading for... Les Orres!

The rendezvous was set for 7:30 a.m. at the departure point from Embrun. On Sunday morning, 174 people embarked on a memorable experience. The only information at their disposal was: +/- 30 kilometers and +/- 1800 meters of positive altitude difference.

At the fork in the road at the Les Orres roundabout, the first big clue was given to runners: this year's event will take place in Les Orres! Then it was off to the hamlet of Le Château for the start of the trail, which took place at 8:30 am.

The high-flying course took runners up to Lac de Sainte-Marguerite, still partially covered in snow, before descending to the Embrun lakefront.

Gabin GUEDON wins in 1:09!

Gabin GUEDON won the race in 01:09:49! Also winner of the Trail Inconnu in 2023, Gabin was no stranger to the playing field, as he often travelled there on his own or with the club to practise his favourite sport.

In 2nd and 3rd place on the podium were Alban LECLERE (01:13:31) and Martin RICARD (01:14:16). Well done to them and to all those who took up the challenge of a blind trail!
