A great turnout for the 1st opening weekend
Over 5,500 skiers hit the slopes this weekend. A great turnout, thanks to good snow conditions, a frenzy for the great outdoors, and a desire to get back on the slopes, slide down the slopes and enjoy our mountain specialities!
Not only from the valley, but also from all over the Hautes-Alpes department and neighbouring regions, visitors were able to get the new season off to the best possible start.
I've been waiting for this for 6 months and I'm finally back on the board and the conditions are really good. Lots of smiles, lots of fun, we're really happy!

Snow forecast: ideal conditions for the resumption of skiing
All our teams have been hard at work securing the slopes in preparation for the opening.
After several snowfalls, conditions were ideal for this first day on skis. The sun was out and up to 40 cm of fresh snow awaited skiers at the top of the slopes for the opening weekend.
Tartiskiflette: The weekend gourmet rendez-vous
Where there are mountains, there are gourmet specialities! The Tartiskiflette was THE event of the weekend organized by Les Orres resort, its partner restaurants and the Fromagerie du Queyras. The first 500 customers to book their ski pass online received a 10€ voucher for a mountain speciality. And as an added bonus, a cheese hunt hidden on the slopes enabled 30 lucky guests to walk away with a local tome!

On Saturday, France Télévision took up residence in the resort for its 2 FR3 Provence-Alpes newscasts at 12pm and 7pm.
At the microphone, JT presenter Nathalie Ramirez interviewed resort manager Xavier Corne, and Pierre Vollaire, mayor of Les Orres and vice-president of the Association nationale des maires de Montagne, about the coming season and current mountain issues, between the environment and energy consumption.

From March 23 to 30, 2023, the resort of Les Orres will welcome the world's best skiers: Alexis PINTURAULT, Tessa WORLEY, Clément NOËL... They'll all be there to battle it out in downhill, slalom and super-G, on the legendary Pousterle piste in Les Orres!
